What Happened So Far?
Freiburg, April 15th 2025
We are very happy to announce that the Werner Siemens Foundation will support the research of III-V tandem PV technologies at Fraunhofer ISE with 14 Mio € over the next 7,5 years. This will boost the development of lower cost CPV cells and modules.

Freiburg, April 2025
We are happy to announce that the first prototype of our new 2-axis tilt and role tracker is put into operation at the test site of our partner SOLTEC in Murcia. The tracker is equipped with various sensors to measure the accuracy under varying ambient and wind conditions. We will also receive first performance data of a micro-CPV test module in the sunny south of Spain.
Two new publications in January 2025 – Congratulations to Elisa Kaiser:
Two-step nested optical-electrical Monte-Carlo approach to analyze
the influence of tolerances on Micro-CPV module performance

Freiburg, October 2024
We have measured our first GEN3 micro-CPV module outdoors in our Fraunhofer ISE test facility and found reliable IV-performance above 30% efficiency. This is our first (not yet optimized) test module of this size and shows that the technology is scalable.
Freiburg, September 2024
Delivery of our new jet dispenser and high-throughput pick and place machine for manufacturing micro-CPV GEN3 modules with an area of 61.0 cm x 45.7 cm.
The tool is now available in the Concentrator Technology Evaluaton Centre (Con-TEC) at Fraunhofer ISE.

Freiburg, December 2023
We are proud to present our first larger-size micro-CPV module.
Luzern, June 2023:
Great success!
The Werner-Siemens Stiftung grants 1 million CHF in support of further development of sustainable solar energy including our micro-CPV technology.

Munich, April 2023
Our team delivers a plenary pitch at the Deep Tech Pioneers Pitch Night and ignites interest among investors.
Munich, September 2022:
Bootcamp of the Fraunhofer incubator program AHEAD and start of phase 1 of the start-up preparation program.

Freiburg, since 2022
Regular meetings and discussions with our support team at Fraunhofer ISE to optimise the technology.
